I’m submitting this for my parent’s in Texas since their dog (actually my dog in High school, then my dad took her over after I left for college) has a pretty unique trick…well, more of an obsession. She is absolutely OBSESSED with squeeky balls. I taught her to “nudge” the balls closer to you if they are out of reach. Yes, quite lazy of me, but hey, she nudges a freaking ball! That and she can find the one ball that I throw for her in the midst of 20 other balls. Oh, and their cat, Hobbes, is 17 and still catching birds/mice/spiders…just a spry young thing at 17.

My two small four legged babies are 6 mth old Great Pyrnese/Black Lab brothers that I adopted this year. Currently at 60+ pounds each… I think they are taking after their Daddy (GP who was 160+lbs). Their best trick now is getting out of a security fenced back yard without (a) destroying the fence or (b) digging holes. We have re-fenced and still cannot figure out how they do it in less than an hour. The good thing is all they ever do is go back to the side porch and bark to be let back into the house.

Our cat loves our son’s drawers under his bed. They are 21/2 feet wide and as long as the bed is wide and full. e actually pulls them open to curl up in the blankets. These are heavy drawers! If we block them with big toys, he just drags them with the drawer!

Our beagle likes to dance buy getting up on her back feet and going around in circles.
I giggled when you asked what my animals best trick is- I was thinking which one.
Samantha- basset hound- I think her best trick is eating or sleeping, she doesn’t do much else.
Big Foot-basset hound- this dog sleeps and only feels the need to move to eat. He’ll cry if someone else is at the bowl when he is hungry.
Katrina- weenie dog- will stand on back legs to get a treat. She has been the best tail wagger in our county 4 years in a row (My daughter’s dog and she puts her in the county fair each year)

When my cat Kali was little, I had a beach ball in the closet and she was fascinated with it. So, one day, I threw it down the hall and she ran after, leaped on top spreadeagle, and rolled with it. We played that game over and over until her claws poked enough holes in the ball that it wouldn’t hold air. I wish I had video, because it was hilarious to watch.

the funniest thing my rat terrier tinkerbell does is run out of the room. seriously. she knows fetch, attack, sit, lay down, go to bed, etc, but she is very clingy and chases me from room to room, so sometimes when i want to be left alone i say, “tink! leave me alone!” and she runs out of the room, funniest thing is – is like 30 sec later shes peering in my room from the hall. so i usually relent. haha!

Our dog pumpkin is a professional “fetch” player. Even when the ball goes somewhere she can’t get, she will sit and figure out how to get it. She is a smart puppy! 🙂

My cat lacy fetches a roll up piece of paper like a ball, I throw it and she fetches it and brings it back to me, this is the most cuteist thing that she has ever done, my big 125lb Chocolate Lab named Duke just sits there dumb founded and say Im suppose to do that. Its very funny watching them play… 😉
