Happy New Year
We just finished a nice family dinner of grilled cheese with tomato soup and watched a round of Dinner for One. It’s a must watch on New Year’s Eve here in Germany. It’s funny year after year and you’ll find it playing on at least one TV station every hour until midnight. “Oh I’ll kill that cat!”
We’ll be putting Mackenzie to bed in a bit and hope that she sleeps through the fireworks show that our neighbors are sure to be unleashing. Kids have been setting rockets off all day already and Ayla is tightly nestled at our feet below the couch. Apparently it’s safe there. She’s not a big fan of the explosions, especially after one exploded right in front of her.
I hope you have a wonderful start into 2010 and may the new year bring great success, joy, prosperity, progress and self sustainability for us all.

I had forgotten about that show!! What a hoot. Watched with my German neighbors and had a great time.
Happy New Year to you!
Forgot to mention that the first year we lived in Nuremburg the fireworks looked like the scene in Mary Poppins with the chimney sweeps. The roof tops with all the fireworks ….just like in the movies!
