Baby got bump

We just found out last night that our best friend from college is having a baby. We are thrilled for him and his wife and hope they have as wonderful of an experience as we have had already…a prayer we have for all our friends & family recently or currently having little ones.

Lately, it seems that we are hearing this news from more and more people. Over the past couple of years just about everyone we know aged 25-35 has gotten pregnant. I guess we’re all starting to get a bit older and realize it’s time to either start producing or kiss the idea good-bye. Our generation has already done quite a bit to push back the age we’re having our first child at…and I guess now that we’re pushing 30, we’ve all started to let those biological clocks grow louder in our heads. Or we’ve become more open to chance and started playing things less safely.

But there seems to be a baby boom in general happening. And the gossip columns are full of celebrities announcing they have a bun in the oven. Brangelina, Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman (thanks to the magical water in Australia), J-Lo, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba, Amy Poehler, Ashley Simpson…the list literally goes on and on. There’s even entire blogs devoted to celebs the stork will soon be visiting.
