Entertaining the kids on Turkey Day
You do not want the children at your Thanksgiving feast turning out like the devil children that graced our table last year…so it’s always wise to have a few things to keep kids occupied on Turkey Day. A lot will depend on the ages of the kids attending…but with any luck you’ll have various ages who will help each other stay amused.
Don’t forget to also invite kids to help out in the kitchen! There are lots of things they can assist with and you’ll be teaching them good habits about cooking as well
When they can’t be distracted with that anymore…here’s some websites to give you more inspiration.
- FamilyFun.com has a great collection of Thanksgiving printables, crafts, decorations and more for kids and adults. Don’t miss the Thanksgiving Day TV Bingo or Where Did the Turkey Lay Its Egg?
- Kaboose.com has some cute crafts and projects for kids like this turkey note holder.
- FreeKidsCrafts.com is a cool site with a new craft project every day. Some are easy enough for kids, others will need a parent´s hand…but a lot of them look fun. Make pop-up turkey cards, cardboard tube pilgrims & indians or a turkey yarn bug.
