Everyone who has had children knows they grow at an alarming rate. Clothes that fit one day will no longer go over their head the next…or are an inch too short all the sudden. In addition to their growth rates, you also have to factor in the changing seasons, which here in Germany always come more abruptly than I expect. So as I was dressing Mackenzie one morning last week, I realized she had no long-sleeved onesies. Not the end of the world but as the temperature continues to drop, dressing in layers will be the key to keeping us all warm around here. It’ll be the same thing with pajamas since she’s still too small to have a blanket in the crib with her.
So I started looking around at my usual online baby store, Jako-O (which I still wonder how to pronounce every time I see the name) and wasn’t too pleased with their prices. Fifteen euros for a onesie that will last one season is just a bit extreme, especially when compared to prices in America. Then I remembered that H&M usually has awesome baby stuff and they are always well priced. So I headed over to their website and was thrilled to find just what we needed, including a fleece jumper that can be worn over her clothes when we have to take the dog out during the winter. Between that and her lamb’s wool liner in the stroller, she’ll be nice and cozy. We might even try to get her to make space for us in there if it gets as cold as last year!
I just couldn’t resist sharing a photo of Mack checking out all her new goodies. She really seemed to like the little pink jumpsuit because it’s super soft. Somehow the clothes looked huge when I unpacked them; but after seeing her laying next to them, they didn’t seem quite as huge anymore.
My girls used to love H & M …thank goodness for layering clothes…..you can adjust with multiple sizes.
She is SO cute!
Let me know if there’s anything you need in terms of baby girl stuff. I’ve got boxes full. 😀
Oh Michelle, if only you lived closer. I would never turn down free baby clothes! I have a friend who sends me boxes of them from the US every few months as her daughter outgrows them. Not exactly cost effective but the stuff is just so darn cute there! Mackenzie is having a massive growth spurt right now and I think we’re going to be pushing into the 12mo sized stuff soon. It’s just insane how quickly they grow! But if you’re serious, I will gladly take them off your hands…and give them back when we’re done too if you like! 🙂
