A new woodworking project coming up
If you read our houseblog, you probably saw that we were working on the chicken coop last weekend and made some progress is re-plastering the wall which was destroyed after years of exposure to chicken nitrates. This weekend we’ll be putting in a wooden tile floor and painting the walls…all just in time for our housewarming party.
I saw in a newsletter from Lowe’s Creative Ideas website that something that may help us continue that project later on: building a window seat. The plans are more or less what we intended to do in this room, with a seating area that wraps around the corner and opens so that we can store the cushions and other things inside to keep the dog from getting her mouth (or dirty paws) on them. Obviously what we want to build will be a bit more involved…but the concept of this seat is the same and we might be able to adapt it a bit. Plus I really like the front they added on it to give it a bit more style.

Projects, projects…it’s just an endless list of them it seems. Guess we’re going to have to make sure we get some heating going in the barn over the winter so Stefan doesn’t freeze when he wants to start taking these things on ![]()
