To screed….or not to screed
Well, the screed was ordered yesterday. 1.5 cubic meters should do it for the guesthouse. Macky finally dragged himself out here yesterday to finish the plumbing. He hung the water heater and everything seemed to be ok.
After he left (without testing, and yes it’s our fault for spacing out on that too) he left and said he would be back on Friday with someone to help us do the screed. Well, after he left we turned the water back on and went back to our chores. While plugging in the Christmas lights Stefan noticed that water came out of the guesthouse. Upon closer inspection we noticed that there was a lot of water.
To make a long story short, We couldn’t reach Macky until this morning (he had his phone turned off….again) but he will be coming out. It’s a good thing too, since he didn’t install the cut off switch to the guesthouse yet and now we are without water in the whole house. GREAT!
The question now is, do we still plan on screeding tomorrow. If Macky is working on this leak until the afternoon, we can’t lay insulation and without insulation, there will be no way to screed and we end up with a big pile of concrete we can’t use. What to do, what to do.
