Wow is the time flying by this year! I kinda feel like they all do — but considering I was in hibernation until our recent thaw, I guess it becomes easier for the year to start sneaking past.

I had a lot of fun talking about the things I’m in love with lately last month, and got some great responses from all of you, so I am back again this month with more fun topics

  1. Pictures on my phone wallpaper + my smart phone working again — I am not a “friend of technology” in many ways, mostly because I end up breaking it. So I am really thrilled to have my smart phone back in working condition again and made a point of going through my camera photos and deleting anything I wasn’t in love with. Then I set my wallpaper to show photos from my gallery. That means I’m rewarded with photos like this whenever I go to use my phone:

  2. Teva flipflops — To be honest, I love flip flops of all kind, and especially love it when the weather changes and I can finally wear them outdoors again. When it comes to comfort and keeping runner feet happy, I have found few flip-flops that I love more than my Tevas. It doesn’t really matter what style you get, because they all have that great foam sole that forms to your feet. I think I could probably walk around the world if need be in just my Tevas. I’m particularly found of my Teva Mush which I got at a closeout sale. 😉

  3. Box for Blox — This thing is seriously one of the best inventions ever made for parents. I’m going to be doing a full review of it later on, but when the Box for Blox company approached me, I have to admit I was skeptical. However, after trying it out, I want to buy one for everyone I know. This box will actually sort your Legos for your kids so you don’t have to go crazy doing it yourself — and to make life much easier when you are delegated to build a new Lego castle. Plus kids seem to find the sorting fun and you end up with less Legos on the floor to step on and send shooting pains through your body in the middle of the night.

  4. Amazon Kindle — When I got my Kindle last year, Stefan had already had his iPad for many months and had fully made me jealous of his ability to read ebooks at all hours of the day, on demand. I think that anyone who loves to read and has been thinking about getting a Kindle should definitely do so. They are fantastic and super practical for those hours you need to kill waiting at the doctor’s office or to pick up kids from school or practice.

  5. Skull scarf — As you may have noticed, I have a rather unique, eclectic style and when I saw this scarf the other day, I knew I had to grab it. Half of it is aqua qith peace signs, and the other half this awesome skull with the dragonflies pattern. It’s really light and floaty and almost too cool for even me to wear it.

  6. Burger de Ville at Bikini Berlin — For months now, Stefan and I have wanted to try out a burger from Burger de Ville over near the Bahnhof Zoo. Unfortunately, it is only open Monday – Friday from 10am – 8pm. It is without a doubt one of the best burgers I’ve eaten in Europe (if not THE best) and I look forward to getting over there many more times while the construction of the Bikini Berlin hotel & shopping complex is being built. They had a sign out front the other day that said “The best burgers come from construction sites” — and this case, it’s 100% true!2013-05-10 11.52.12
