Stefan and I have always loved entertaining guests. It’s one of those things that we grew up watching our parents do, and it has become a favorite feature of our relationships with our friends and colleagues. In fact, Mackenzie is already following in our footsteps and constantly wants to invite people over to our place.

One nice thing about entertaining guests is that it’s gotten easier over the years in many ways. And if you’ll allow me to draw a term from our entrepreneurial conquests, it’s also easy for you to “outsource” a lot of things that you couldn’t a few years ago.

While we love to cook up a storm and prepare a feast for our guests most of the time — there are also times when it’s not practical to have to make everything ourselves. And while a potluck is a great option for many events, it’s not always the way I like to go…especially since both of us our kinda control freaks. But, shhh — don’t tell anyone! 😉

That’s why frozen options that help you bridge the gap make life so much easier. And I’m here again today, talking more about the benefits of frozen foods and why I like to explore all of my fresh vs frozen when it comes to figuring out whether it’s worth it to spend all day in the kitchen when there are so many good frozen options to help you out.

For example, I’m really looking forward to college football season starting again. Hopefully, this year the Canes will play well the WHOLE season – not just part of it. But either way, we’ll be having some friends over during the games and enjoying screaming at the TV.

The last thing I want to do is prepare food all day. So standbys like Ore Ida Tater Tots and Golden Crinkles will be finding their way to the food lineup.

Another good friend of ours has always been frozen pizzas. Just pop a couple Totino’s Party Pizzas in the oven and you’re ready to rock. Or if you prefer the bitesize option – grab some of their Pizza Rolls and add an extra dip or too. And Mrs. Paul’s Fishsticks, made from 100% whole white fish fillets, are always a hit with the kids of all ages.

Frozen options also allow you to bring in special dietary need and requests without a lot of extra fuss, like MorningStar Farms® Parmesan Garlic Veggie Wings. I’m telling you what — meatless options sure have come a long way since I was a kid!!

Another easy trick to pull off, especially with kids around, are Healthy Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt cups. Kids always love them, they’re a healthy option, made with real fruit and no artificial flavors, and each has 100 calories or less. You can’t beat that!

So now that you are armed with a few suggestions for game night meals — it’s time for you to share what your favorite dishes are to take to gatherings! What’s your go to dish to bring to potlucks?
