The electrician came out yesterday and before he arrived in the morning, Stefan wasn’t really sure we had anything for him to do. Let there be cold

As many of you know, we live on an old farm here in Germany, built in 1834. Air conditioning is not really big in Germany and only available in newer homes. Having gone from Newf friendly weather in the high 50′s last week to the high 80′s today. Tomorrow it’s supposed to get even hotter – mid 90′s. Not a good progression for our Newfie. We love our new freezer trunk

Fabulous Farmhouse Searches Vol. 5

nespresso We just got a Nespresso Le Cube and we love it. We have avoided drinking a cup or five of espresso every night but absolutely love the convenience, easy clean up and easy of having a machine like this which uses little coffee tabs. More tools for our workshop

While visiting Stefan’s parents in Bavaria this weekend, we drove by their local home improvement store and saw that they had an electric angle grinder on sale for €12.95. We are going to be needing one of these when we take on laying the tile wherever we end up laying it because the tiles are over a centimeter thick and cannot be cut with a regular tile cutter.
