Sucked in again by impulse buys

I went to IKEA last week with my mom because she wanted to pick up a few goodies that she noticed us using around the house. Two of the things on her list are items that I use all the time and absolutely love: the KONCIS garlic press and the CHARM (now CHOSIGT) cheese grater containers (below). It’s sperrmüll time again here and that means there are piles of junk on every street corner in our town, along with tons of white panel vans with Polish license plates cruising around. We took a trip to IKEA today. It wasn’t so bad. The store was fairly empty and we got some really good ideas for the house. We have quite a few rooms that will be getting a makeover, mostly because we have to make some space for Mackenzie. Keeping cool in the heat

We’ve had temperatures in the 80s and will approach 90 degrees F tomorrow (31 degrees C) which doesn’t seem that terrible unless you’re wearing a massive, black fur coat. Thankfully it’s still quite cool in the mornings when we go for a walk but the afternoons and evenings are very warm.
