Scandinavia Trip taking shape
Stefan and I just met up with our good friend Steffen who will drive the second car on our 2006 Scandinavia trip. We will join him and his girlfriend Steffi at the Oktoberfest tonight, a Munich tradition taking place every year between the middle of september and the first weekend in October.
Steffen is looking into buying a VW bus camper conversion and is finalising plans to make the purchase. Planning for the trip is going forward as well. We are now planning to hit the road sometime in the later part of june of 2006 and have narrowed down some of the locations we intend to hit.
Some of the main legs are:
Munich – Poland – Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) – Ferry to Finland from Estonia – party in Helsinki – Finland – Sweden – Ferry from Stockholm to Copenhagen, Denmark – back home!
All in all it will take 21 days during which we plan to travel about 11,000km.
