Venereous Shaving Trio Giveaway

If you know me personally or have been reading this blog for a while, you probably also know that I am a fan of all kinds of natural and organic products…and a few years ago I actually started Newf Brand Bath & Body with my husband and mother. We started making products in 2001 while we were still living in Miami. We really just wanted to make natural skincare products for ourselves because we were sick of having to pull out a dictionary every time we flipped over a bottle of shampoo or shaving cream.

Once we got started, of course we couldn’t keep quiet about it, and before we knew it, we were cranking out bottles of shaving goodies, haircare and everything else for everyone we knew (and even some people we didn’t know!) In 2006, we finally decided to turn this into a real business and the rest is more or less history.

Our first line of products called Venereous primarily focuses on women who adore being pampered and know they’re worth the extra effort…but they also don’t want to go broke while staying beautiful. In case you’re wondering how we came up with a word like “venereous” (pronounced “ve`ne´re`ous”) for this line, it actually means “lustful; lascivious; libidinous.” We find that many women like to indulge in beauty rituals because it makes them feel more in tune with their bodies, more desirable, and just downright sexy.

The Venereous Shaving Trio consists of shaving oil, shaving jelly and aftershave. The purpose of using three products instead of just one to shave is fairly uncommon for women, but there are a lot of reasons why one simple dollop of foam just won’t cut it with sensitive skin is raked over day after day with a razor.

Venereous Shaving Oil is a non-foaming product that conditions and moisturizes the skin while you shave. It establishes a base so that the razor glides easily over the skin, without cuts and nicks. Venereous Shaving Jelly is also non-foaming and is applied on top of the shaving oil to make a super moisturizing barrier for shaving. With both of these products being clear and without foam, you can finally see exactly what you are shaving and cut down on the risk of gashing open ankles and knees. And finally there is Venereous Mountain Mist which is formulated to leave your skin feeling soft and moisturized, as well as free of razor burn and ingrown hairs.

At Newf Brand there is NO animal testing of any kind. We think it is wrong and despicable to test on animals for cosmetic purposes! Ayla did once decide to perform animal testing on herself, though, and chewed up a bunch of lip balm tubes. We’re happy to report that she didn’t get harmed (although her floppy lips were silky smooth), but the lip balms were not so lucky!

We’re looking forward to expanding the Newf Brand product line in the next few months, and there will be several new luxurious facial products hitting the market soon which we are really excited about. We will even be introducing an entirely new product line called Wicked Good which will be a more rugged, unisex line. Here’s a little sneak peak of the first products:
