17 cents? You can’t do that!
As you’ve possibly noticed, Stefan and I have a flair for all things entrepreneurial. On the days when I am not here on NOH blogging away, I am generally wrapped up in a storm of web consulting craziness, dreaming up some wonderful graphic designs, bossing around our team (I’m a nice boss, I swear), creating a new fantastic product to market or working up a business or marketing plan for someone. Before we started arma communications, where we get to professionally help others to get their businesses sorted out (or started) and on the path to success, we were always bumping into friends that needed business advice or some web help…it just seemed like a natural path to take for us and we are thoroughly enjoying it.
So when our latest idea popped up on the table one night, we just knew it was the logical progression to take.
And what is that idea, pray tell?
Offering something so crazy, so cheap, so unbelievable that our friends are starting to think we might be a little off our rockers. But the joke is on them –we don’t even have a rocker here. Ha!
But seriously. Our newest venture is a web hosting company where our starter package is actually just 17 cents for one month of hosting. I know it might be hard to believe. I mean what can you actually get for 17 cents these days? A sip of Starbucks Caramel Macchiato? Six minutes in your apartment before your rent is up? The options really are limited.
But this is no joke and not even a start-up offer — the company is appropriately named 17 Cent Hosting and it’s something we plan to keep in effect for years to come. Because if you’re just starting out with a new business or only need a simple website, there’s no reason to pay a small fortune for hosting! In fact, we actually thought about doing this for 17 cents a day at first, but decided that 17 cents a month was just so much better.
I’d love to hear what you think…and if you’ve been in the market for a new web host or just want to try out a new business idea, I hope you’ll consider our services. Feel free to ask questions about the companies, our services or throw your ideas out there.
