Capturing Fall
There are no official linkups for YouCapture for the next three weeks, because our lovely host Beth has just brought a new baby girl into this world. And I think she fully deserves that time off. But she’s given us some topics to keep busy with in the meantime, and then I’m sure it will be a free for all once she’s back. In the meantime, you can always pop over to I Should Be Folding Laundry to see if she’s shared some new adorable shots of Clara yet! (Beth shoots some of the most adorable baby photos!)
The first challenge I’ve chosen is “Fall.” It’s probably the easiest of the three and considering that I’m just starting a pretty huge giveaway event later today (come back at noon EST to enter the Refueling Power Moms giveaway), I figure I will take the easy route first.
I focused on leaves, because there aren’t so many signs of fall around us just yet. Even our cooler weather has left for a while. But a few trees are changing and dropping leaves. I love this one since the color bleeding into the leaves via the veins is so apparent.

The cherry trees started turning and dropping leaves a few weeks ago, so there’s already a nice bit of accumulation to play in. But we’ve still got a very long ways to go.

And although I know that fall is really only just starting, I can’t help but think about snow already. I wonder if we’ll have a bunch of it this year or none at all…and how far into the negative Celcius digits we will reach this year. But until all that white madness begins, we’ll just be watching the leaves as they cascade down from the sky like rain. If only the images I tried to catch of them had worked out.
