A lot has happened on the farm in the last few days and we haven’t been awake enough in the last few evenings to keep up with Blogging.

Things are really moving forward though. Stefan was quite successful in getting the plumbing started. Actually, we got everything done except connecting the various parts of the piping around the room together. Mostly, we left the four different sections apart for now, since we didn’t know how Kovey would want them placed in the studding.

Saturday things want into warp speed. Kovey helped us finish almost all of the drywalling in the room. We had really good progress there although it didn’t look like quite as impressive as the time before because he had to build around the doors and windows which was a much slower, more detailed process. Pictures will follow soon – with a more detailed description of what we got done.

Today, the electrician finally showed up. This guy is quite something…fast, diligent and he thinks for you when you forget a detail. The thinking is a trait not too common with German workers – while laying cables, he actually came up with a few good ideas as to additional lights and plugs in and around the guest house. He will be back tomorrow with tons more work to do. It really seems there are quite a few things that need to be updated in terms of wiring. But it’s really no wonder since it’s all nearly 30 years old.

On other news, Macky actually called back today. Hubby was out riding his motorcycle when he called his cell so he pulled over and called him back. Apparently Stefan was not very nice to him, understandably, and really made the guy squirm on the other end of the line. After a lot of pleading and begging from Macky, hubby gave in and “allowed” him to come by tomorrow morning. He definitely did make it clear that this was the very last chance to set things straight.
We are not getting our hopes up that Macky will actually show up (we don’t really want him here, but hubby feels much better if he completes the rest of the plumbing work, just to make sure everything is tight and perfect).

It will most certainly be an interesting day tomorrow. At least we know we can count on the electrician to show up.

This is just a quick run down of the last few day’s events. Not very detailed, but better than nothing. There will be more details – we promise!
