Why is that after a certain amount of time, the alarm clock beside your bed just becomes unnoticable in the morning? When we stop hearing it, Is it a sign that we’re not getting enough sleep and our body just refuses to listen to it? Or is it just something to do with the days getting shorter again already and the fact that it’s still a bit dark now when the alarm goes off? Or maybe it’s just a subconscious knowledge that my husband hates his job and wants to be able to be a SAHD/WAHD but we just haven’t been able to make that happen. (We will accept donations, though!)
At any rate, Stefan rushed through his morning routine because once again the alarm that starts going off at 5:35am didn’t wake him until 6…and the alarm on my side of the bed either was turned off by me the second it started going off or it didn’t go off at all. I’m thinking it must have been the latter, because the thing goes off every 5 minutes when I hit snooze, which I always hit in the morning cause it’s the easiest to find…and the sound the thing makes drives me crazy (always an important quality in an alarm clock.) I would seriously consider investing in an alarm clock that runs around the room or something to that effect, but I’m not sure Stefan would pay attention to that either. The alarm on his side of the bed is a clock radio and the station it is set to is currently just static. Makes me pretty crazy by the time I’m awake and notice it…but he doesn’t seem to hear it at all. Guess that means time to change the station there too…maybe actually find a station this time. Otherwise he’s bringing the Blackberry upstairs and turning that alarm clock on…which could wake the dead. Not because it’s so loud, but it has to be one of the most annoying sounds EVER!
Thank God he has vacation next week! Time to catch up on some sleep!!
