A happy woof-filled day to my dog friends!

Sorry I missed talking to all of you last week. Mom and I were just SO busy that we couldn’t stop to chat. You would NOT believe how awesome the weather has been. So warm and sunny. It gives me a great excuse to go bathe my paws in the water during every walk – at least once!

I thought I would give you an update on my oh so wonderful friend, Dino. You might remember the story of me getting him while out dumpster diving last year? Well I’m sorry to say that since then he has spent almost as much time in the intensive care unit as he has hanging out with me. You see, he has a problem with one of his legs and I just keep tearing it open. Between you and me, I think he’s a bit hefty and he could stand to lose some weight. But the humans disagree so every time I tear him open, he gets stuck in quarantine somewhere and I don’t see him again for months.

At any rate, mom was doing some cleaning in Mackenzie’s room (which happens to be the ICU here) and she brought out Dino. You have no idea how happy and relieved I was to know that he was still ok. I had started to believe that he would never come out of there alive. I sat and watched intently as mom doctored him up. Although I’ve been through this a few times before, I’m always very nervous when someone goes into surgery.

I’m sorry to say that mom’s not really that good at it so I never know if they will pull through or not. I mean would you look at the size of the thread and needle she’s using on poor Dino?? Does it look like she knows what she’s doing? And without pain meds! Come on, woman, show some mercy!!

I guess mom thought that using extra thick string to sew Dino’s leg closed would keep me from getting him open. Boy was she wrong!! In less than a week I’d opened him up in a few new places and a few days ago, I finally performed my best plastic surgery operation EVAH! You may notice the white fluff all around me – that was Dino. As you can see his head was still quite fat in this photo but mom finally realized that I would not stop until he was thin and beautiful (not unlike myself) so she pulled most of the rest of his plumpness out for me. I was really concerned since she’s not a trained professional like myself, but she did pretty good. I suppose I’ll let her be my nurse in the future if she wants.

Ayla dino liposuction 04

This liposuction procedure was right in time for Dino to hit the beach. Like I said before it’s been really nice and warm – up into the 60’s they say (whatever that means.) I even slept outside last night because it was so glorious – haven’t done that in months!

I hope spring is arriving where you are – and if you need any liposuction tips or help, please let me know. I will accept patients by mail and return them once the process is complete. I usually don’t need much more than a day to achieve perfect results and am happy to give you a list of referrals.

Now get out there and have some fun, pups! I’ll bark at you soon,

Ayla
