This morning we had made plans to sleep in a bit to recover from all the back breaking labor yesterday. However, at 8AM sharp the phone rang and it was Macky.
He apologized profusely for not calling and not being there as promised and gave a few more details regarding his sister. Apparently the family got together and pooled resources to have her Medivac’ed out of Bosnia to Germany where she is now at the University Clinic in Mainz. Macky just landed with her here at 3am this morning.
He is feeling so bad about letting us down, that he is sending a guy to help us hang the drywall on the ceiling. Arrival time 30 minutes from now. That is certainly a huge change of plans given that we haven’t even cleaned up the dust in the guest house yet. We were simply too tired last night.
So, after waking up a bit more by writing this blog, we’ll now head outside to prep for the drywall guy and then we’ll see how far we get today.
