This week Beth decided to mix things up a bit at I Should Be Folding Laundry and gave the challenge of “ordinary moments” for us to photograph. Here at No Ordinary Homestead, I’m not sure that anything we do can really be considered “ordinary” but I tried to find a few moments that are rather typical around here nonetheless.
Such as brushing Ayla. It’s a task that seems to be never ending — I don’t think that dog ever stops shedding!
Lately there has been a lot of carrot eating, pulling the carrots fresh from the garden. What I think is funny is that she really wasn’t a big fan of carrots until we started harvesting our own. Perhaps it’s the smaller size or holding onto the green tops that she likes…or maybe they just taste better.
A scene like this one has become more “ordinary” in the last week because we’ve got our trampoline up now and Mackenzie is totally enthused by it.
And this is about as ordinary as it gets around here lately — because Mackenzie is always hanging on Ayla and giving her love. Ayla can definitely not say that she doesn’t get a lot of attention now.
How “ordinary” are things around your home?
Beautiful carrot! They are just better :-).
Love that last picture especially.
Looks like you captured a lot of beautiful “ordinary” this week. Dogs really are the best, aren’t they? I remember the golden that I grew up with being SO patient, not just with me, but with all the kids that came to our house. That’s such a special photo of the two of them hanging out. 🙂
Ayla is definitely super patient with Mackenzie. Far more patient than I manage to be sometimes. 🙂 Nana, the dog in Peter Pan (the book) was actually a Newfie. They’re extremely good family pets…that’s part of the reason we got a Newfie — with an eye on the future 😉
Love these photos !!!!
Great photography. It’s those little ordinary moments that count towards happiness and sense of fulfillment!
Great pictures, LOVE your ordinary moments!
