Hey dogsters!

I hope you are looking forward to the weekend as I am. I love it when both of my humans are home to love on me and drive crazy! I just have to vent a little about something weird they did last night…

A few days ago, mom & dad took a bag with them on the walk. I thought they might be bringing something cool for me to play with, but instead they stopped at an apple tree that broke apart about a month ago and started filling up the bag with apples. Since my awesome friend Maya the BMD LOVES eating apples, I have picked up the habit again too. So I was pretty pleased that we’d now have a bag of these sour, tasty apples at home for me to devour whenever I felt like it (or whenever someone left the door open to the mudroom so I could sneak in there and grab one!)

But yesterday, I crept in there after already taking one apple and leaving half of it on the kitchen floor for mom & dad, and the BAG WAS GONE! What the??? After some expert detective work, I did manage to locate the bag which was moved to the back of the mudroom door. Unfortunately I cannot reach the apples from there. I have no idea what the humans are thinking but just how am I supposed to get all my vitamins when they take away my supply of apples?!?!

I hope they take the hint now and give me my apples back! Otherwise I have to resort to eating a few on the walks every day which is just not nearly as much fun as in the middle of the rug.

It’s raining here today – hope you have nicer weather than us!

Newfie kisses,

Ayla

(Mom says: The apples are to make liquid pectin for canning jelly. We’re going to make a little video tutorial about it this weekend so you can look forward to that. It’s a really simple process and canning the pectin until you’re ready for it is easy too. The only thing we’ll be paying for is the water and energy to cook this…since the apples are free and the jars didn’t cost much either!)
