In addition to a couple errands I had to go run today, I have the pleasure of banishing a virus from my primary computer. I say primary since we have 3 PC’s and 2 laptops running at all times around here…and it tends to get a bit confusing. But this thing snuck up on me after us not having any attacks for quite a long while. And now the little bugger just won’t die!

First it started giving me all sorts of pop-up messages saying I had been infected and should download their software. Yeah right – not falling for that! And then I got a cute little message next to my clock saying VIRUS ALERT! Um, great. It has also hidden a bunch of things in my start up menu and is causing as much havoc as possible…but I did get it to stop freezing my computer all together which was a massive improvement.

What I constantly have to wonder is – what sort of sick pleasure do the rejects that program these things get from this? They can’t see that they are causing people to sit at their desks and pull all their hair out, one by one. I mean if they hacked into your webcam and could see you freaking out, maybe it would be fun. And we would have some really entertaining stuff to watch on YouTube when those went live. But honestly, making me read 15 different pages with solutions, install 12 programs and spend all day hoping and waiting for all the nonsense to disappear? Where is the joy in that??

Or maybe this is some sort of scam by the companies who develop all this software in order to boost sales. I really don’t know. but I will say this. If anyone EVER mentions to me that they are responsible for one of these things, I am going to personally pull out every hair on their body, one by one…then move on to their finger nails and toe nails….and slowly torture them in other terrible ways until they die. It will be a slow and painful death, just like they deserve for making other people’s lives complete hell around the globe every time they release one of these evil little things!

Yep, I’m better now. Back to killing this little demon!
