Some of you probably know that there’s a whole lot of changes going on in our lives right now as we get ready to move into our farmhouse. That has left little time for me to write about our antics at home but I have to say that Ayla really has been really great during everything. She’s even starting to get used to just hanging out in the truck while we’re out running errands. She doesn’t like to be stuck at home for hours in the box which I honestly can’t blame her for. And we can’t trust her to just manage herself since she isn’t so great at that for extended periods of time unless she’s definitely sleeping. The remote is on its last leg and just keeps finding its way into her mouth. And after the carpet saga, well, nothing seems to be safe. So the best alternative has just been to take her along with us where ever we go and she’s been rather content to just hang out and wait for us. Of course it’s rather nice for her in there now since the weather has turned colder and today she slept pretty much the entire time I was driving from place to place as well as when I was inside the stores. I started to think maybe there was something wrong with her but she’s been totally normal at home otherwise so I guess she was just enjoying the cold.

We’re really looking forward to moving to the farm since she’ll soon be able to spend more time outside in the cold without being tied to something. At the moment there’s still tons of stuff outside and inside which aren’t suitable at all for her to get her mouth on but a lot of it is Macky’s so that should all be gone relatively soon as well. Needless to say I think we’re all looking forward to the move although the cats still aren’t fully informed and we are probably going to have some interesting integrations going on but perhaps the change will be what they need to finally reach a truce.
