We’ve just completed the water portion of today’s entertainment schedule. We have successfully hooked up the watering system and have resolved the water leak just inside the barn door where the flex hosing joins to the faucet piping that runs out to the garden. Unfortunately we have found a new leak inside the barn where the previous owner patched the flex hosing and one of the L joints to the right faucet is leaking a bit…but at least the latter is leaking over the rain barrel in the garden. We also haven’t completely fixed the leak in the attic Y joint but we’ll need to drain the system to get the connection tight enough so it will just have to leak into a bucket for now. At least it’s not as bad as it was before.

Amazingly enough the drip system is working fantastic. We also set two sprinklers up in the raised bed with the strawberries and peanuts and they are working pretty well also. But we don’t have exactly the right connector pieces yet to go on the new sprinkler extensions we bought which allow the sprinklers to stand above the plants in the bed but it will work for now until we can get the correct pieces. And we’ve covered up our trench down the middle of the garden and it seems we have no leaks there either.

In a little while we will start repotting the last portion of the plants. We have all the stakes we need to anchor the drips in place now so once we have everything in new pots our greenhouse set up will be more or less complete for this season. Finally.
