Since we are planning to start at least a partial start on the horse stall build out next week while Stefan is on vacation, we will be getting another trash container. There is still bird housing in the horse stalls that needs to be thrown out and a feed trough in the other part of the stables. And with a container here, we will be able to trash some more stuff from the barn. We figure we should try to start cleaning up the main part of the barn and rearranging some things so we can move the tables inside should the weather not be too great. There is quite a bit of space under the sleighs at the moment but I’d really like to lay the bricks that we collected out of the kitchen breakthrough before piling a bunch more stuff in this nook. We also need to get to the wall which has sprung a leak (have I posted about this yet?) and repair it which will require throwing more stuff away. Perhaps we’ll get the container on Friday already so we can get a head start on the weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

I started researching how we should properly lay the bricks in the barn. I found a pretty good tutorial on laying brick paths which I think I can follow pretty well and modify to work under the sleighs. I hope to get this project started over the weekend or perhaps on Monday morning when Stefan is at his motorcycle class.

I’m thinking a basketweave pattern would work very well. I just hope we have enough bricks to cover the entire area. There should be enough for at least half of the area so we’ll just do what we can and go from there. Projects, projects galore ๐Ÿ™‚
