Green.

A few years ago, when someone mentioned the word green, I probably only would have thought of things which are the color green…grass, leaves, money and other random things. But now I also associate green with sustainable living and living “green” as well.

Our challenge this week for You Capture is “green” and I’m sure there are going to be tons of different interpretations.

One of my original thoughts was to go take a cool shot of the windmills near our house, but with just about everyone in our house having a cold, I didn’t manage it. Thankfully I also won’t be sharing any shots of green things coming out of our noses.

Instead, I’ve got some green things we come into contact with daily…

The green kettlebell I swing around 60 times every day as a quick way to try to keep myself in shape.

Or the wildly green bathtub we’re now using while our shower is awaiting repairs…

Or the bright green logo I created for a No Ordinary Homestead t-shirt that I happen to be wearing today.

And of course, in our garden there are plenty of green things still. Like the evil green caterpillars that I found eating our yummy lettuce in the salad table. I knew they had to be in there somewhere but they were not easy to find.

And the green tomatoes which are still ripening in the last burst of summer-like weather we may see this year.

And our stevia plant, which is providing so many lovely leaves of sweetness this year.

What do you see when you think of green?
