An unexpected place to be taking lots of photos? Probably so. But Beth from I Should Be Folding Laundry wants to know what is going on in our bathrooms this past week — and so I am obliged to share.
When the discussion topic turns to the bathroom, all I think of is toilet talk and potty training…which we are still not all that ready for. But trying to capture images in the bathroom without being totally cliche and overdone is never easy.
I guess I could have done the obligatory kid in the bathtub scene — but our bathtub is literally big enough for Mackenzie to go swimming in and takes forever to fill up. But about 4 adults will fit inside of it at once, something we tried out our first weekend here (all fully clothed of course). I am pretty sure the family that used to live her must have taken joint baths — because you need a ton of people in there to keep from using a lake’s worth of water just to fill this thing up!
Of all the things we’ve changed in that bathroom over the past 4 years, the tub is one item we have not touched — but would not dare take out. We’ve rarely used it and the green is a bit avocado, but it’s a conversation starter and once upon a time, it was the perfect place to wash Ayla. Now, she refuses to hop over the wall to be subjected to such evil water torture…
What else is kinda green in our bathroom? How about Mackenzie’s new stepping stool? Seriously — how cute is this thing?
What fun and interesting items are in your bathroom?
I love your tub. It reminds be of the blue ceramic tile tub we had in out home the last time we lived in Japan. Our bathroom there was built in typical Japanese style with a floor drain next to the tub so you could wash yourself before hopping in and soaking in very hot, and very clean, water.
What a relaxing experience! ๐
I love the last knob shot where you see, well, YOU! ๐ That is a HUGE tub (4 adults?!)…craziness!
Awesome tub! I love that color. Too bad it needs so much water…
Terrific self portrait in the cupboard knobs!!
I jusr love that last picture
