When Macky finally put in the water pipes and drain for the washing machine, he also checked the current water handling system in the house and determined that it’s just not going to be very good for it if we add on a whole new kitchen with a lot more capacity as well a second bathroom. So he’s constructing a new drainage system so they needed to remove a bunch of the stones in the driveway (thank goodness it’s not paved) and are laying the new pipes in there. Not exactly the job I would want to be doing but I guess once you get started it all gets a bit easier. At least this means that if we want to make a few of our flower beds around the courtyard bigger it shouldn’t be a big issue.
Here’s the inside of the kitchen today. They’re about half done with the painting but the doors are in and things are looking very good. I can’t wait for them to finally finish things up so we can start building the cabinets and getting all that on its way. Macky is promising us that he’ll have the kitchen done by Christmas so we’re hoping he can meet that target. They’ve had a few off days lately and definitely have a lot of work to be done still so it should be an interesting few days to say the least.
