Hubby talked to a few people this week which will be coming out on Saturday to give us bids on a few things around the house. The father of a friend of ours is a painter and he painted our last apartment for us. Although it was not cheap, he did a great job so we figured we would at least get a bid from him to do the interior of the house and eventually the exterior as well which we will likely have to tackle next spring.
We also called “Ernesto” who is a Polish handyman who does just about everything. He was recommended by a colleague of hubby’s who had him do a LOT of work for him in his house which he essentially gutted and started over with. We’ve seen the house and it’s beautiful so we figured we could give this guy a try. Unfortunately he seems to be quite booked with work because it won’t be able to come out for a bid for two weeks…and that is honestly not a time line we like so much since this is the only bathroom we have in the house at the moment.
We also got the name of another handyman named Mr. Machinovich (which I’m sure I just butchered the spelling of) and he thankfully can come out on Saturday for a bid. He did work on a new house which one of hubby’s colleagues is just finishing up building and he has already recommended our architect to us so we figured we’d give this guy a try as well. He comes HIGHLY recommended so we’re very anxious to hear what he has to say.
