After a good night’s rest, hubby and I were awakened at about 7 am to take out puppers. This is actually much better than her usual wake up time of 6 am so we were very thankful to be able to sleep in a bit since we had gone to bed rather late. Still looking to explore the area, we decided to head in a different direction than yesterday and set off more towards the middle of the town and in the general direction of the “castle.” Again, looking at Google Maps had at least given hubby a general idea of where we needed to go so off we went.

A few blocks from the house is a small stream or perhaps even a river. It’s a rather steep incline down to the water on the side with the walking path, although many of the people on the other side of the stream have frontage which is a much more gradual slope. Ayla got to have her first interaction with a duck from a distance. She probably would have been much more excited about them if they had been closer but it was very likely better this way.

We ended up getting almost completely lost. We did manage to find the castle, although I would classify it more as a mansion than a castle since I tend to picture castles being made of stone. This one just looks like a very huge, old house but it’s still kind of pretty. We’ve heard that a 4,000 square foot apartment is available for sale in there right now with the nice little price tag of €1.2 million. I personally think it wouldn’t be worth it because the rest of the street has not so nice apartment buildings on it and looks a bit seedy. But the castle does provide gated parking and the lot is full of high priced cars including a Porsche & a Ferrari so apparently some people think it’s worth it.

We eventually found our way back to the house and our guests were still sleeping. Since they had requested that we not let them sleep past 9 and it was now 9:15, we figured we should wake them. They’ll be driving back to Munich and we’ve got more work to do…it’s going to be another full day.
