While we were in the living room this evening, I thought I heard the buzzer for the front door. When I looked out the front window I noticed the lights were on at the door, a nice feature the PO installed so you have a longer chance to notice someone just rang your doorbell. I put the dog on her leash and S went out to the front gate…but the delivery person was already across the street at our neighbors house. Hopefully she gave them the package and they will bring it over tomorrow. The only thing we are expecting right now is the door handles which were supposedly mailed earlier this week.
Remember that white oleander tree we said we ordered oh so long ago? And then finally got a call about last week? Well, we finally got the tree (and using the word “tree” to describe it is being overly generous) yesterday after we ended up with the wrong city and zip code on the label. It’s so scrawny we think we may need to grow it in the greenhouse for a while to get it going. So we may end up just putting some flowers in that large round planter out front. Bare dirt just isn’t going to cut it.
Hi Tiffany! Did you get your package yet? And are you happy with the door handles?
I got to know some of our new neighbours because they accepted our packages – quite a good way to make acquaintances ๐
Hi Anna,
Unfortunately our neighbors didn’t bring anything by for us today so we’ll see if we have any more luck today ๐ Definitely a great way to meet the neighbors, though. And since I work from home the delivery people love me since I’m here almost all the time…
You’d be my perfect neighbour, Tiffany! I get quite a lot of parcels, but as I leave home for work at 7 am and come back around 7 pm I can never actually receive them…
