Is this the same puppy?

So today we got to pick Ayla back up from the breeders and we almost started to think that we had brought home the wrong dog because she was on her very best behavior. I guess romping around in the back yard with mommy, sister and brother was enough excitement to wear her out for hours. But they do say that a good dog is a tired dog which was very true yesterday.

They definitely seem to have been working with her a lot. It’s amazing how well someone can do with a dog when they know how to work with them. She is barely jumping up at all now and also not trying to bite so much. Perhaps a lot of that has to do with her being totally exhausted but if that’s what it takes to make her behave then I’m certainly willing to take her on walks all day so we can have some peace and quiet in between. She already has another “play date” set for July when we have to go to a wedding so hopefully she will also gain a lot from that visit too. And I’m guessing we will see them some time in June as well since she did so well this time. There are lots of fields and probably hiking trails around there so we figure we can definitely all go together with the doggies and have a nice day for everyone involved.

Anyways, after we picked her up she slept quite a bit. We took a short walk after her dinner to make sure she was really wiped out and enjoyed a mostly quiet evening which was quite nice since we didn’t get much sleep the night before. Hopefully the good behavior will continue tomorrow…
