We have a bunch of kitchen cabinets from the old kitchen sitting in the barn, in what will one day become the climbing hall. We’ve talked about using part of them in the pig stalls area, which you pass through to get to the climbing hall. Perhaps using the small fridge so we can always have cold drinks on hand while climbing…and maybe a sink running off the pump water with a bit of counter space. We also want to have a few full size lockers to put our gear in and perhaps a bench…but we should have no problem fitting all this in.

Anyway, if we end up using some of the cabinets, we will definitely need to paint them something lighter since the dark wood would be too dark in there. So when this article from DoItYourself.com was part of a recent newsletter, I figured I might as well make a note about it. It’s a good basic plan for what will need to be done when we get ready to take on that project…quite a ways down the road.
