Almost 2 1/2 weeks since my last post. I know; it’s just not acceptable! The first week I didn’t have much of an excuse. Stefan was on vacation but we only went to visit his parents for a few days – so I should have been able to keep you updated. Last week, I was just trying to put the house back together and find my rhythm again. And then I decided it was finally time to move my blog to a new host since I’ve just about had it with ReadyHosting (my current host.) Anyone who has ever done this knows you need to move all your files, then start the transfer and wait. I had arrived at the conclusion that it would just be easier not to post anything vs. posting at both the old and new site…or needing to export all 1200 posts AGAIN which is also a pain.
But now I’m starting to get antsy. I’ve gone too long with blogging and I think withdrawal is starting to kick in. You see I wasn’t staying away because I lack something to say. Very much on the contrary! But I just didn’t want the hassle.
The good news is that the transfer should be done later today which will mean lots of blogs to come. Despite my better judgement, I’ve started a couple blogs already in the old system so I’ll be doing another export of the blog before I shut it down anyway. Don’t worry, though, folks. You’ll still find this blog at www.NoOrdinaryHomestead.com like you always have – the only things changing are on the backend.
