Well, now that we’ve hit the 4 month mark, Ayla is back with some of her more reckless behavior and starting to chew on a lot more stuff. She still has no interest in the furniture (you have no idea how thankful I am of that) but one of my pairs of sandals has got some nice, deep bite marks in it now. My, how I love having designer doggy clothing.

So now with the teething aspect being present, she apparently is not pleased about this and has gone back to her more aggressive behavior, jumping on us and being pretty rough with her mouth. At this point, I guess I’m just better prepared to handle it. I see it happening just like the first few weeks and I am certain she will grow past this as well. I’m not thrilled about the thought that it could last another 3-4 weeks but if that’s the end of it for the rest of her life then I guess it’s an ok trade off.

To add to the collection of designer clothing Ayla has started, hubbers has lost his first pair of pants to her…I on the other hand have lost 5 already so I think we’re more than fair. How on earth did she manage to tear a hole in so many pants? Well, part of it was my own stupidity and trust…thinking she was past the point of the jump and bite attack…and part of it was just dumb luck.

Thankfully I’m taking it all in much better stride than I was a few months ago…but I do intend to start reading some of our doggy training books again because we need some more work when it comes to things like walking on the leash and answering the door. We’re going camping again this weekend and when the World Cup game of Germany versus Sweden isn’t on, I think I will be learning how to make us all happier with puppers around. 😉
