You Capture is back and better than ever — and our challenge this week was to capture “mornings.”
Our mornings here have changed a bit recently because Mack is now sleeping in a big girl bed and instead of sleeping in like she had been before our Christmas vacation, she’s now up just as Stefan heads out the door — which is about 6:30 in the morning. But the first order of business according to her is a bottle of milk on the sofa and a quick look into the iPhone….
Ayla, on the other hand, just doesn’t want to deal with it at all. Mornings are so very rough for her — until she gets hungry. Then she manages to muster up all the energy she can find to dance a jig around me. What a rough life.
I recently came across this quote from Steve Jobs, and it really made me think about life:
“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”
There are a lot of people out there who just go through the daily motions, totally unhappy with the way life is going but never doing anything about it. It’s up to you to make changes and to make what you want out of your life.
If you’ve been thinking about making a change for the better in your life, no matter what it is, today is the day to start toward that goal. Make a plan with some baby steps to do each week and learn what you need to know and do to reach that place where you can wake up happy every morning.
Wonderful post !
Great photos! I really like that quote from Steve and I agree with you!
That is a great post and when I figure out how I want to change things I will act but right now I don’t know what it IS if that makes any sense.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
