ayla's thoughtsHey furry friends!

You are not going to believe what has been going on here the last few days. For starters, I’m in heat which makes me giddy and a little loony…which translate into 100 pounds of seriously excited Newfoundland whenever anything happens. Like when dad comes home from work, or when we get ready to go for a walk, or when mom and dad come downstairs in the morning after sleeping all night. I have rarely been this enthusiastic about anything in life but the day to day stuff just makes me deliriously happy these days.

Except for food. I’m not so keen on that right now. Mom was feeding me cut up chicken breasts in all my meals for a couple days. That was awesome. I thought it was my birthday or something, over and over again. But then she stopped and it’s back to boring stuff like yogurt, cottage cheese, pasta and other leftovers. Beh.

Anyway,  a fews ago, I was feeling a bit lethargic and I decided to skip my evening walk. I didn’t go remind mom and dad that it was missing and they didn’t ask if I was interested, so we just didn’t go. Then the next day, I kinda wanted to go, but apparently Mackenzie did not and she had already gone to bed. What the heck? Who goes to bed at 7pm? Seriously. The next day it was the same thing.

But today…today will be the day when evening walks resume again. Cause I love my evening walks. Pooping in the courtyard on paving stones is just not the same. I like more of an incline behind me for my deeds to rest on. Is that too much information? So sorry.

In addition to my pooping style needs, I also have a whole lot of pee-mail to keep up with which just cannot be done within the confines of our courtyard. The news is out there on the trees and in the grass…unless someone comes and pees the news on my door, I miss it ALL! Trust me, the stuff that gets barked around this neighborhood is hardly considered news worthy.

Anyway, wish me luck tonight with my quest to get our evening schedule back on track. Better yet, leave me a comment and we’ll call it a petition. A petition to allow all dogs out there the chance to have two walks a day! If we combine forces and let our barks be heard, we can take over the world!

Sloppy Newfie kisses to you!
