The theme for You Capture this week was a bit more abstract than most of the others I’ve participated in. The assignment simply read: “ORANGE.” Now these topics are free for interpretation and I did consider grabbing a bunch of oranges and tangerines and shooting away, but I thought it would be far more fun to spot orange things around me throughout the day.

I thought these three trees were fascinating. For some reason, they are all changing at a different rate, even though they are only a few feet away from each other.

How can you think of orange in the fall without pumpkins?

I don’t know what sort of fungus this is, but quite a few of the very old fruit trees around here have them…they are just wild looking and quite large. I’m sure that’s not a healthy sign for the tree. But even the cobwebs on it came out looking orange in the shot.

And what would fall be without beautiful orange sunsets?
