Naples is known by many for its beautiful beaches and amazing homes. But it’s far from the only city with beautiful and expensive homes.

Nantucket is a small island located off the coast of New England that appeals to those who want to get away from crowded and congested cities. Featured on the hit television comedy Wings, the island has a peaceful and relaxing feel that many locals love. If you only know Nantucket because of the TV show, you’ll want to take a look at some of the most expensive homes ever sold on the island, including those designed and built by major companies like louis ceruzzi properties llc.

Russell Dale Phelon Estate

When the Russeel Dale Phelon Estate came on the market in 2015, jaws dropped. The large estate had a listing price of $59 million, making it the most expensive piece of property on Nantucket. Located on 69 acres of land, the estate has a peaceful and serene look. Phelon made his fortune in manufacturing before deciding to retire to the quiet island. Though he purchased the estate for less than $10 million, many agents believe that the renovations he made justify the high price tag. Three sides of the home have views that overlook the water, and the estate has multiple private and gated entrances.

Polpis Road Estate

Located at 260 Polpis Road, this large and sprawling estate went on the market with an asking price of $47.5 million. A sweeping driveway moves from the private entrance to the front door and leads to the outbuildings on the estate before taking guests back out of the estate. The home itself is in the Dutch Colonial Revival style and features multiple wings attached to the main house, giving residents plenty of room to spread out. Within walking distance of the water, the estate comes with 75 acres with plenty of trees for shade.

Squam Road Home

The home located at 33 Squam Road turned heads and raised eyebrows when its owner asked for more than $22 million in 2014. Eyebrows raised even further when it sold less than three months later for just under $21 million. First Act Chairman Bernard Chiu purchased the home with plans to move in almost immediately. The home itself measures more than 7,100 square feet and comes with 10 ½ bathrooms and seven bedrooms. Other features include a state of the art professional home theater, views of the ocean, hardwood floors, a large porch and outdoor entertaining area.

Sherburne Way

Nantucket locals love Sherburne Way because much of the road runs right alongside the ocean, given its homes gorgeous views of the water. Homes on this road routinely sell for more than those located on other parts of the island because of those views. One of those homes, located at 1 Sherburne Way, sold for a little over $18 million. The home has a classic Cape Cod look with a widow’s walk on the roof, weathered siding on the house and a gambrel roof. It also features 4 ½ bathrooms, five bedrooms, a large side porch, elaborate front entrance and just over 5,200 square feet. This home also came with 1.66 acres of private land.

Though Nantucket has a great look and an even greater feel, the real estate market on the island is hot. As more people move to the island, the prices of homes for sale may go up even more.
