Despite it being a mediocre week for my workout routines, at least I gave it my best when I was working out. I was having trouble with my motivation and positive thinking…perhaps it was all the late nights watching Olympics instead of getting some sleep and preparing myself mentally for the day ahead. I find that if I think about how excited I will be to wake up in the morning, how energized and productive my day is going to be, then it becomes those things. If you wake up and immediately let yourself start complaining and dreading the day ahead, you’re already doomed.

  • Tuesday just did the Beginner’s Workout but added a bunch of reps to most of the exercises.
  • Thursday kicked it up with 3 rounds of the first buns & fat loss workout in 12min 11sec. That’s one more round that I was able to complete last time and even thought I might go for 4 but the jelly leg feeling was just getting way too strong. I don’t have time to be laid up on the couch for the next few days…
  • Friday I did the Beginner’s Workout again and bumped up all exercises with only 12 or 16 reps to 20. I was scared of the buns workouts from the day before…and realized I did the Hungarian squats backwards which explains why they were actually freakin’ possible. In addition I’m also running around the house cleaning like a mad woman because we have a friend coming over to dinner and this will be her first visit to our house. So it has to make a good impression.

Next week I WILL be more on track and will make up for some lost time. Perhaps it’s time for me to start trying new workouts every few days just to keep it interesting. On the other hand, I also like knowing what is coming–which is why I keep bouncing back to the Beginner’s Workout.

Have an awesome weekend and go for your own personal gold!!

Do you want to workout with me (and Zuzana)? I’ll be posting a new BodyRock Challenge post every Friday. There I will recap my own progress from the previous week, leave some motivation for all of us and announce any changes to the workout routine. If you aren’t ready to move up to the next level, don’t worry; just keep working out at the current level until you feel it’s too easy or you notice you aren’t winded at the end of the workout.

I’d love to read your comments and progress. If you are linking to your blog and you talk about other things than BodyRock, please link DIRECTLY to your own post so that those of us who want to give you some encouragement can easily find your post. If you don’t have your own blog or website where you can talk about your progress, then just tell us how you did in your comment!
