We started our fun filled week of gardening at the local home improvement store, where we picked up the dozens of things we need to build the greenhouse. Among them was a miter saw, which we will need to build various things around the farm. Hubby already had a jig saw and a circular saw so we put off buying a miter saw for a while, just making due with the tools we had. Since building the greenhouse will involve tons of cutting today was the day we would pick up one of these babies.

The selection wasn’t very big, a really nice one for 645 Euro, a true monster of a machine and definitely out of our price range. A puny little one which didn’t have very much power and limited range of things it would cut cost around 140 Euro. And then there was the one hubby wanted, a miter saw which doesn’t only move downwards, but also forward, so you can cut wider boards (such as wood floor boards, etc.) and a wide range of materials it would be able to cut. It cost 199 Euro, and we have already had sum fun with it, cutting up pieces of 1x2s for the bracing of the greenhouse foundation framing.
