As I mentioned in our last few posts, we have upgraded our camping equipment. Remember our mission is to see Europe for as cheaply and rustic as we possibly can, staying on campgrounds – but to do so with the comforts one has grown accustumed to (too old for Ravioli from a can) and will allowing for a quick set up and breakdown without tons of searching.

We have completed our Camp Kitchen with all the ammenities we need, and are already adding to our provisions box (products with long expiration on special deals) and brand new two burner stove. For some downhome BBQ we still have our trusty old three legged hanging grill. Aside from the large provisions box, the kitchen can be loaded as is in the car at anytime.

Our camping equipment, inlcuding our battery operated lantern and inflatable queensized mattress, have found a home in a new aluminium storage box – this box also always stays packed putting it in the same categorie as the kitchen: “Ready to go whenever”

Our stuff has found room in the bags from LLBean, but we don’t keep that pre-packed. Afterall, we are not Navy seals, we do have a little bit of time to plan impromptu road trips 😉

While we haven’t gone camping yet this year thanks to the horrible weather we have been having, but so far everything looks like it would function just like we want it. It is starting to feel like we maybe well on track for completing our dream of the ultimate vehicle to see Europe in.
