Ayla is now finished with her medication and it would seem that she is all better. She hasn’t limped in days even though we didn’t manage to keep her laying over the entire course of the weekend. But we did shorten our walks with her and tried to keep playing to a minimum.
Ayla seems to be enjoying having both of her humans at home most of the day. Since Stefan is on vacation this week, we have been able to take morning walks with her before his motorcycle class and usually evening walks as well. Tonight was just us girls again, though, since Stefan had to attend motorcycle theory class. Joy. We will all be quite happy when he is done with these classes! They just completely interrupt the few short hours we have together each night and during the weekends…but the end is drawing near.
And Ayla is going to have a very exciting weekend ahead. Stefan’s parents are coming up and bringing his grandmother and one of his aunts. The two latter ladies haven’t seen the house yet aside from a few photos and those never really do it justice. We are also planning to take a little trip down to the wine growing region this weekend which Ayla will get to go along for, of course. Hopefully the weather will be nice but not too warm so we can all enjoy ourselves π
We’ll try to take some photos to share. We always say that and never really seem to do it but with so many people there this time, perhaps we will accomplish it!
It sounds like you’re coming along just fine Ayla! I’m so happy for you! Don’t drink too much wine this weekend, okay?
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Glad that Ayla is feeling better. If the limping comes back you might want to get an x-ray too. Have a great week with all your company!
Thanks Maggie! I’m looking forward to all the people who’ll be around to love on me π
That is what our vet was recommending, Spencer. When we were there last week she gave us two meds and told us to make her take it easy. Then once the meds ran out, if she was still limping we were going to take her back in for a thorough exam (probably with Ayla sedated since she is a spazz at the vet’s) and x-rays if needed.
