So we told you already that the white oleander “tree” is here already. I’m still wondering whether one would actually classify it as a tree yet? So maybe you can give me your opinions. I have to go with seedling at best.
I have to say I’m still a bit disappointed by the size but at least it’s actually here. I didn’t notice it before but it was also packaged with a lovely, fat, juicy slug…and a lovely little jumping spider, both of which have now met their demise. We continue to think that putting it outside in the planter by the street would like end in an early death from some stupid kid or drunk person returning from the wine bar down the street. It just seems to small still. So one of these years we’re going to have to get a few bags of soil to fill up the planter again and then buy some flowers to plant in there. Maybe by the time we get around to it, all the flowers will be on sale lol
I think you’re quite right about the “stupid kid or some drunk person”, Tiffany! It happened to us: My Mom planted some lovely spring flowers in the planter outside our front door. And one day when I came back from work, two of them were lying on the pavement…
Aww no. Some people just have no respect. You try to make your home look nice for others as well as yourself…and they just have to ruin it.
The worst we’ve has to deal with so far is our neighbor’s kids from across the street shooting their pellet gun over towards us and littering our courtyard, planters and anything else it can reach with neon yellow balls. We’re going to start collecting them and then just dump them over in the neighbor’s yard again. It’s not as if there aren’t tons of fields around here where they could go practice shooting trees like I used to do…instead they just unload their “clip” in a random direction…doesn’t seem like much fun to me.
