Happy Wednesday to ya!

Now I know that you probably read that headline and thought for a moment that maybe we’re getting another Newfie…or a pony…or maybe even a cat. And while I would be more than thrilled to have any of those (well, the pony not so much because I’m kinda scared of horses since one of them shocked me one…or maybe it was the fence around him? I don’t know), we are not actually adding any more animals to our pack. Sad, right? We really could use another Newfie. But mom and dad have mentioned that their sanity would be completely gone if we got another Newf (or anything else for that matter) so I guess until I can buy them some spare “sanity” to keep around for emergencies, I’m just out of luck.

But what we are adding to our family is a new car…and it is a really dope one (if I dare to use that sort of vernacular.)

I know it’s a very long deviation from their ideas of getting a Smart (and I was really looking forward to riding shotgun with dad in there) but this ride is going to be way nicer! Not to mention safer — and I can’t bear to think about what my life would be like without my awesome family.

And now I can sit with the family in my doggie seat belt next to Mack (sure hope I can reach her to give some kisses since that back seat is pretty large) and not be stuck behind the doggie prison gate in the back of the Defender! Free the Newfie!!

Here’s where mom and dad will be riding. Maybe if I play my cards right they’ll let me drive sometime…although I hear that’s highly frowned upon. I’d even settle for sitting up front in the passenger seat so I can play with the radio for a change. Not sure how well I can use that wheel thing though. Darn.

Back here is where Mackenzie and I will be hanging out! Look–see that thing between the seats? That’s right — my very own air vent! We used to have air conditioning vents in the back in our BMW station wagon. Gosh how I’ve missed laying my face on them and sleeping as we drive to wherever it is we’re going. There’s nothing quite like having your drool cooled as it leaves your mouth. Pure heaven!

I’ll be sure to get the folks to take some photos of me as I ride in style. Have you ever seen a Newfie in the back of a 7-series BMW? I sure haven’t! I wonder what kind of crazy looks we’re going to get on the Autobahn!! 🙂

Bark at you soon!

Kisses,

Ayla
