Well Houndini is at it again. Our darling little puppers just broke out of the yard again and then broke into our neighbor’s fenced yard. Thankfully, it was our incredibly nice neighbors with the Border Collie so they take it all in stride. I was on the phone when our doorbell rang and there stood our 13 year old neighbor, informing me that Ayla was in their yard.

So what does this mean for Ayla? Well since she’s been breaking out more and more often lately and our shoddy construction of a fence is obviously not working at all, I’m electing that we put up a dog run for her until the weekend when we can take the time to put up a proper divider. Clearly we can’t allow this to continue because it’s not safe for Ayla or our neighbors. Thankfully we live on a fairly quiet street but a little black dog running like the wind in front of someone’s car is not likely to be seen quickly enough…and the last thing I want to do is have to worry about vet bills or possibly losing Ayla since we’re really getting attached to her now. When she’s good, she’s great…and when she’s bad, you want to strangle her…but thankfully the latter come less and less now (knock on wood lol).
