Last updated: October 1, 2026

No Ordinary Homestead (“NOH,” “we,” “us”) is run by Tiffany Muehlbauer under Arma Communications Inc. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit noordinaryhomestead.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

  • Information you give us. When you sign up for a freebie or our email list, we collect your name and email address. When you email us or fill out a contact form, we get whatever you include. If comments are on, we collect the name, email and comment you submit.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site that referred you. This comes from cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • Send you the freebies and emails you signed up for
  • Answer your messages
  • Understand which content readers find useful, so we can make more of it
  • Keep the site secure and block spam and bots
  • Earn affiliate commissions and show ads, as described below

We don’t sell, trade or rent your personal information.

The services we use

  • Google Analytics tells us how people find and use the site. Google may use cookies to collect this. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit) stores our email list and sends our emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs use cookies to track purchases you make after clicking our links, so we can earn a commission. We never see what you buy or your payment details.
  • Kinsta hosts the site and screens traffic to block bots and attacks. This includes processing IP addresses.
  • Embedded content from Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube or other sites behaves as if you’d visited that site, and those sites may collect data about you.
  • Advertising partners.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them for analytics, affiliate tracking, remembering your preferences, and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work as well.

How long we keep it

Email subscribers stay on our list until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Comments stay with the post unless you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days.

  • Readers in the EU and UK: under the GDPR you also have the right to object to processing, restrict it, take your data elsewhere, and complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on your consent for emails and ad cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site for analytics and security.
  • California and other US state residents: you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted ads. We don’t sell your information for money. Ad cookies may count as “sharing” under California law, and you can opt out through the privacy link at the bottom of the page [added once ads run].

Children

This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us, and we’ll delete it.

Links to other sites

We link to other websites, including brands, campgrounds and partners. Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our tools or practices change, and update the date at the top.
