So I'm back at the farm today. It's about 30 degrees outside and to say it's cold is an understatement in my book. But I'm not really a cold weather person to begin with so anything where I need to wear 3+ layers is really cold to me.

Our contractor didn't manage to finish the bathroom yesterday. I'm not really sure what happened exactly but he spent about 2 hours doing something to a water pipe running through the wall behind the radiator which apparently didn't achieve whatever it was he wanted because he told me before he left yesterday that he needed something from home to fix the issue and when did I have a few more hours to spare. Amusing…or something. He offered to just take care of it on Saturday when he comes to do a full bif on all the rest of the work in the house since we have essentially fired our architect who turned out to be mostly useless. But I reminded him that it's going to be well below freezing the next few days and have the house sit here without heat on is a risk we aren't really willing to take at the moment. Plus we have some friends coming over tomorrow night and we want to stay at the house since we have a few meetings here on Saturday but with no heat it won't really be so fun.

So hopefully his estimate of it taking only a few hours today will be correct. Hubby is off in London on business and almost thankfully doesn't get in until 9pm which is at least one logistical nightmare I don't have to worry to much about at the moment.

I'm very much looking forward to having the bathroom done…and even more so to having everything else done so we can finally move in here. It already feels like home but we have a long way to go still. Our list of things to do outside the house is starting to grow as well and we need to start visiting kitchen and bath stores, window stores and much more…so out weekends are definitely going to be jam packed for a while. At it's all for a good cause though…making your hpuse into a home 🙂
