Hello my doggie friends,
Long time no bark! I’ve been oh so busy lately, enjoying the cool fall air and intimidating little dogs. And I am in heat again which always makes me a more interesting pup (or so my parents find.) I generally get a lot more antsy and active, but this time my desire to eat my weight in food every day has not waned. I like to keep the parents guessing, ya know?
Something else kinda cool is going to happen: my mom was contacted to review a set of DVD’s featuring Cesar Millan about mastering leadership (whatever that means!) But not only does she get to review them, she gets to have a contest to give one set away to some other lucky dog! Woohoo! We’ll tell you more about the contest after we figure out the rules ourselves…but you can be certain that at least a little bit of work will be involved 😉 (Human note: I’m really interested to see what the set is like because they have a lot of info about becoming the pack leader – something I am clearly not. But with a baby coming in a just a few short weeks, we definitely are going to need to establish some new ground rules so this couldn’t come at a better time.)
In less good news, one of my friends is going to have to go through double hip replacement surgery. She’s a little Golden Retriever named Amelie. Please send up some prayers and positive vibes for her in the coming months. She will have 12 weeks recovery time after they do the first hip. Then 6 months later they will do the second one. Going to be a very rough time for her and her parents because she usually takes walks for several hours a day…and after the surgery will be limited to 5 minutes 3 times a day until she is healed enough to go further.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead. I think my parents are going to be putting together furniture so I will have lots of cardboard boxes to eat…I LOVE cardboard!
Newfie kisses to all & we’ll talk soon once the Cesar videos are here!!
