This morning was rather fun. Today is being billed as the hottest day of the year thus far and it’s supposed to be something like 95 degrees…Thankfully we are going to see a house this evening which will also probably not compare to “our” house but it could be interesting nonetheless…but this appointment means that I drove hubby to work this morning and have his car with air conditioning in it which is obviously a very good thing on such a hot day. So Ayla & I drove him in at 7 am and then when we got home, we went for her morning walk. Haven’t been running into any puppy “friends” these days but that’s ok with me too since that much human interaction that early in the morning can be difficult on a day to day basis. So when we got home at about 8 am, I decided I would take advantage of having the car and go to Fresnapf (German PetsMart) and buy some more kibble and canned food for Ayla as well as stuff for the cats and so on since we were almost out of just about everything lol. This was my first experience of taking Ayla with me into the store by myself and I’m not so certain I will do it again…but the girl who have us advice when we were starting to look at puppies was there and she was happy to see her.
Naturally I can’t leave the pet store without buying some sort of treats and/or toys for Ayla (would buy something for the cats but they rarely seem to appreciate it although they are rather happy with their cat food selections lol). All the toys are located on the exit aisle going to the checkout counter and I guess trap those people who do impulse buys very well…myself being no exception.
So the girl (well woman really although she’s around my age but has 3 children which was shocking news) working there was putting away some new merchandise and she had big stuffed doggies which were super soft and cute but didn’t seem to squeek so I decided to pass on them for now. What I did find instead was a super soft duck with a quacker inside him and squeekers in two of his feet. The thing is totally adorable and she seems to be pretty in love with it already. She runs around the house making it quack like crazy & has managed to make it a dull yellow in just a matter of hours which makes me very happy I took pictures of it before she got her dirty mouth all over it…
